A game of lines and proportions. This custom-made bed is made of pickled metal, wood and plexiglass.
The heavy sheets are fitted together almost like sheets which, once assembled, create a three-dimensional structure, used as a bookcase or headboard for the bed. In the upper part there are two holes to be able to insert two lights that fall from the ceiling and create a luminous compartment for evening readings. As many holes are placed side by side to accommodate two plants that frame the structure.
The bed surface, entirely made of wood, is perforated for the natural breathing of the mattress and suspended from the ground with four metal elements of the same size as the headboard, to highlight its modularity and material coherence. These thin but resistant elements lift the mattress leaving it suspended. The plexiglass that interrupts the bookcase is used as a support surface for the cushions, interrupting the cold metal and creating a plastic heat.
